Safae Mouftakhir received her bachelor degree in Morroco and then pursued her master study at the Université Grenoble Alpes in Organic Synthesis for the Pharmaceutical and Agrochemical Industries.

During her training she performed a six-month internship, working on the synthesis of aziridinyl iminosugars at the Department of Molecular Chemistry of Grenoble.

In February 2021, she started her internship on the synthesis of "Molecular polymetallic sulfides for the activation of small molecules" in the SolHyCat team at the Laboratory of Chemistry and Biology of Metals.
